Rise Learning offers gifted and talented programs with content pitched two or more years above the Australian Curriculum. Rise students are independent, self-motivated learners who possess a gifted mindset.
The Student Evaluation Session is an opportunity for teachers to assess a child’s academic level and ability to engage our gifted and talented curriculum.
Teachers will also observe a child’s maturity, responsibility and commitment to learning.
To help us better understand your child and their suitability for our programs, please bring a copy of your child’s most recent school report to the session.
After the session
Following the evaluation session, we will advise your child’s suitability to enrol in our programs.
In some circumstances, we might recommend enrolling a student at a lower level to build their foundational skills to enable them to progress to the next level.
In extraordinary circumstances, we might recommend enrolling a student at a higher level. In practice, this only occurs in relation to less than 1 per cent of new students.
Please note that classes have limited places and most classes have a waiting list of students.
Waitlists may apply before we can enrol your child in a Rise program.
