Mr Jeremy Macknay

Mr Macknay is a dedicated, experienced teacher committed to teaching excellence. He is passionate about preparing children for life beyond school by providing 21st century learning experiences and fostering creative and critical thinking. 

Mr Macknay was awarded ‘Apple Certified Teacher’ status in 2018 and employed technology in a classroom environment. As a “Teachers Can Code” Lead Teacher, He trained other teachers in the application of the digital curriculum in classroom practice.

Prior to teaching, Mr Macknay was employed in environmental science, conducting botanical surveys, managing environmental projects and preparing client reports for the Environment Protection Authority.

Mr Macknay holds Bachelor of Commerce from Bond University, a Bachelor of Applied Science from Murdoch University and a Graduate Diploma in Education from Edith Cowan University. He is currently completing a Masters in Health Science with Notre Dame University.

Ms Ellen Smith

Ms Smith is completing her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Western Australia, where she is also a recipient of the prestigious Fogarty Foundation Scholarship.

After graduating as the Dux of All Saints’ College in 2020, Ms Smith joined Rise Learning, teaching gifted Writing and Maths. She is also a personal tutor in English, Maths, HASS, Science, French and Music Theory. 

Ms Smith is passionate about knowledge and learning, guiding students to reach their full potential and fostering their own love of learning. When she’s not teaching or studying, Ms Smith enjoys reading and writing in her spare time.

Ms Antoinette Smit

Ms Smit is an admitted Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and an admitted Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. She has over 20 years’ experience practising law in the private and public sectors in Queensland and Western Australia. Her experience includes practising as a Barrister and member of the Western Australian Bar Association and as a Barrister and Solicitor of the amalgamated Western Australian legal profession.

Ms Smit has a passion for persuasive speaking and writing, an art she extensively honed appearing before the judiciary and at jury trials. She shares this passion with her English Writing students through engaging class presentations and detailed student feedback.

Ms Smit has an interest in Western philosophy and the creative arts. In her spare time, she pursues her practice of electronic visual art with a focus on the Art Nouveau, Avant-Garde and Bauhaus movements. 

Mrs Leanne Liu

Mrs Liu is an expert teacher with over 20 years’ experience in education, specialising in English and Mathematics. She is an advocate of knowing students well, meeting a child’s individual needs and creating a positive learning environment where students can thrive and succeed

Mrs Liu holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.

Mrs Chewy Yong

Mrs Yong has over 25 years’ experience in finance, management and education. She held senior professional roles in financial planning, client management and professional development.

Mrs Yong is passionate about fostering a joy of learning in children, and imparting lifelong skills such as responsibility, initiative and self-discipline. She home schooled her three children, all of whom achieved entry into academic GATE programs, including Perth Modern School.

Mrs Yong holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Computer Science; and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Management from Murdoch University.
